We are looking for a Web Developer to support another Web Developer and a Webmaster in development of our corporate Gen 4 website. This is a full-time, permanent position that will report directly to the Webmaster. Our ideal candidate is comfortable developing both the backend code and designing the UI for a large-scale project with high functionality and detail. This is a dynamic role, where our ideal applicant will be expected to create Content Management Applications in PHP, Page Layouts using the Bootstrap framework, Database Design with MySQL, and influence interface decisions throughout testing. Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain professional look and feel of corporate website and corporate applications 
  • Design new page layouts
  • Improve user interface (UI/UX) interactions
  • Optimize website content for search engines
  • Create content management applications (CMS)
  • Implement and continually improve database architecture
  • Monitor and expand website usage statistics
  • Monitor and support website logins and passwords

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience 
  • Post-secondary education in software engineering, computer science or related field
  • HTML5 / JavaScript / jQuery 
  • CSS3 
  • PHP / MySQL 
  • Experience with creating reflexive, responsive web design using Bootstrap
  • Experience with browser diagnostic tools to debug HTML / JavaScript
  • Ability to use tools such as Adobe CS to manipulate web assets
  • XML, JSON experience would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively individually as well as in a team setting
  • Strong customer service
