Victoria, Canada—With the latest release of RC-WebView®, a browser-based building management software solution, Reliable Controls introduced key features and performance improvements that enhance user flexibility, streamline workflows, and expand system interoperability across smart buildings.
Offline mode for design and validation: RC-WebView now supports an offline working mode, enabling administrators to design, configure, and validate user interfaces without the need for a live system connection. This means teams can confidently build and test Navigation Groups, Navigation Trees, and Enterprise Schedules, then synchronize with the live system when ready, saving time and reducing errors.
RESTful API integration: RC-WebView supports reading and writing data from controllers via a RESTful API. APIs serve as a universal translator for building systems that use different protocols. The benefits of this enhanced interoperability include:
Ability to export systems as job packages: Users can now export all Job File assets associated with a system as a compressed job package .zip file, simplifying setup in RC-Studio® and standardizing configuration.
“With RC-WebView 3.16.1, we’re giving building operators more flexibility and control than ever before,” says Robert Prinz, Product Owner at Reliable Controls. “Offline mode brings the design process forward without connection to a live system, the RESTful API unlocks convenient integrations, and overall performance improvements help our users work faster. This release is all about improved engineering efficiency.”
