Shubra is a busy metropolitan district in Cairo. Densely populated, this area between the Nile and the larger districts in northern Cairo is dotted with churches and mosques. Shubra Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the region, with facilities for men’s and women’s prayers, special events, and a clinic.
Authorized Dealer A to Z Engineering Solutions installed a Reliable Controls building automation system during construction of Shubra Masjid. The new building is the first automated mosque in Shubra.
The project integrates two MACH-Pro1 controllers and a SMART-Sensor EPD device, networked using RC-Studio, to control the building’s mechanical system, which includes chilled water systems, three air-handling units, three pumps, and three fan-coil units.
A to Z Engineering Solutions was pleased to meet the client’s need for significant energy efficiency with a limited number of integrated points in this first-of-its-kind building in Shubra.
