Seattle Municipal Tower is a 62-story Class A office building and a main component of Seattle’s downtown civic campus, which also includes the Seattle Justice Center and City Hall. In 2003 the building underwent a major renovation to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment through improved accessibility. The tower includes a 12-level parking garage that, in addition to public parking, accommodates the city’s fleet of electric vehicles and houses public charging stations.
Seattle Municipal Tower partners with the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Green Building Council, and others to promote energy and resource efficiency and offers customizable recycling and composting programs.
Authorized Dealer Pacific Air Control updated an existing Reliable Controls building automation system to incorporate dimming and occupancy sensing in accordance with new city energy codes.
Pacific Air Control installed five MACH-ProLight advanced lighting controllers with universal inputs and relay driver outputs. The new controllers integrated with the existing MS/TP network and Reliable Controls system. RC-Studio software allows building managers to easily access both new and existing controllers.
Twenty-four daylight harvesting zones dim in response to third-party ambient daylight sensors. Pacific Air Control commissioned 31 lighting circuits for the project, including a BACnet Binary Lighting Output object, to respond to a sophisticated sequence of operation.
