Douglas County Public Utility District (PUD) is a non-profit, locally owned electric energy provider that began in 1936 with the goal of delivering a reliable supply of electric energy at the lowest possible cost. Today, Wells Dam generates all the electricity used by consumers in Douglas County and beyond, which allows the PUD to sell excess power to other utility districts and marketers. As a result, Douglas County has some of the cheapest electricity rates in the United States.
Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer Schmitt Electric recently upgraded the Reliable Controls system in the customer service area at the Douglas County PUD building in East Wenatchee, WA.
Schmitt integrated MACH-ProAir controllers with actuators and airflow sensors, pulled in new RS-485 cabling, and installed new discharge air sensors and SMART-Sensor LCD devices. Schmitt implemented RC-Studio and worked with their customer to create engaging system graphics that depict the new floor plan and allow for monitoring and control at a glance.
Schmitt worked closely with PUD maintenance staff to ensure there was no down time on the network during installation. The building remained fully operational to personnel and customers throughout the project, which Schmitt delivered on time and on budget.
“The service and support we have received from Schmitt Electric is exceptional. Our recent lobby remodel project is a good example of their professional engineering, layout, installation, and seeing the project through from start to finish. We are looking forward to working with Schmitt Electric in the future,” said a representative from the PUD.
Reliable Controls is pleased to have partnered with Schmitt Electric to deliver energy savings and improved system efficiency for Douglas Country PUD.
