Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer Five Star Mechanical retrofitted the First Church of the Nazarene in Hutchinson with a Reliable Controls system.

Five Star Mechanical upgraded various mechanical equipment with MACH-Pro series controllers to control the central plant; chilled and hot water fan coils that service the office spaces, rooftop units that serve the classrooms, and large air-handlers that feed the lobby, sanctuary, chapel, gymnasium, and music room.

As is typical in retrofit applications, once Five Star installed the new controls system, system logs highlighted numerous issues with the existing mechanical system. Five Star reorganized and simplified the existing control panel wiring, implemented new chilled water plumbing and pumps, and overhauled the old zone valves.

Following careful planning and a solid execution Five Star Mechanical was able to improve energy efficiency in the facility by as much as 30 percent. Reliable Controls is very proud to have played a role in helping the First Church of the Nazarene realize significant energy savings and reduce their carbon footprint.
