Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer SouthEast Automated Systems installed a new Reliable Controls building automation system during a retrofit of the plant. A challenge of this project was the need to install extensive piping for communications.

SouthEast Automated Systems took control of air-rotation units, air-handling units, a chiller, and an air-cooled water chiller with a range of Reliable Controls devices. A MACH-ProWebCom allows building owners to access and control the facility easily and cost-effectively over the internet. This unique controller combines a BACnet Building Controller, a BACnet Operator Workstation, and a powerful web server in a compact package no bigger than a typical controller. Its built-in workstation and web server reduced United Medical’s capital expenditures by eliminating the need for workstation client software, license renewals, and fees for cloud services.

Nine MACH-ProZone controllers, each with highly scalable input and output capabilities, control nine small air-handling units, each connected to a SMART-Sensor EPD device. The SMART-Sensor EPD delivers a modern networked solution that allows building occupants to connect with up to 10 configurable parameters related to their space. A tenth MACH-ProZone controls a water-source cassette unit in the facility’s IT room.

SouthEast Automated Systems integrated two air-cooled chiller controllers with the Reliable Controls system using five MACH-Pro2 controllers expanded with four MACH-ProPoint Input/Output modules. The MACH-Pro2 is a rugged, flexible, fully programmable BACnet Building Controller ideal for large rooftop equipment and midsize mechanical room applications. 

SouthEast Automated Systems and Reliable Controls were pleased to help United Medical scale up production capabilities at its new plant in Thomson, particularly as the demand for face masks increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
