Founded in 1963, the P.A.C. Rangasamy Raja Polytechnic College focuses on engineering and technological education, ranking within the top ten polytechnic schools in the country. The campus rests on 55 acres and features amenities to accommodate all students' needs, such as a bank, cooperative stores, a book depot, a canteen, a Xerox center, and an indoor stadium. Among the engineering courses offered are HVAC technician and service training.
Authorized Dealer Alaska Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. implemented a complete Reliable Controls system in the P.A.C. Rangasamy Raja Polytechnic College HVAC lab, located in the Virudhunagar District, Rajapalayam, India.
Many of the school alumni are spread across the globe practicing as leading HVAC and building management system consultants. In an effort to strengthen the college’s already successful curriculum, Alaska Engineering donated Reliable Controls products and offered their services for the benefit of improving the HVAC program.
The system installed consists of a MACH-ProSys BACnet Building Controller (B‑BC) featuring extensive network routing capabilities, whose hardware options are ideal for retrofit. To integrate and complete the system MACH-ProPoint expansion modules with inputs and outputs, MACH-ProAir controllers, and several SMART-Sensor LCD devices were installed.
With the Reliable Controls system in place and students able to see the functionality and efficiency of the products in use, Alaska Engineering and Rangasamy Raja Polytechnic College have high hopes for the next generations of students graduating from the course.
