Authorized Dealer VACE installed a Reliable Controls building automation system at the Flex facility at 2 Changi South Lane in Singapore.
The Reliable Controls system monitors and controls a central chilled water plant with three air-cooled chillers, two water-cooled chillers, five chilled-water pumps, two condenser pumps, and five cooling towers. The plant runs 24 hours a day, supplying offices, a warehouse, production and assembly areas, and a clean room. The offices and warehouse are constantly cooled by fan-coil and air-handling units.
VACE implemented MACH-ProSys, MACH-ProCom, MACH1, MACH-Zone, and MACH-Stat controllers for mechanical equipment. The existing building automation system monitored inputs and outputs not essential to Flex’s operational requirements. VACE removed the redundant objects, resulting in better control of room temperature, and used outside air temperature to reprogram room-temperature setpoints.
