The EnOcean Alliance develops and promotes self-powered wireless monitoring and control systems for sustainable buildings by formalizing the interoperable wireless standard. EnOcean is the Wireless Standard for Green and Sustainable Buildings.

Net-zero logo

A net-zero energy building is a building with zero net energy consumption, meaning the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is equal to the amount of renewable energy generated. A net-zero energy building produces enough energy (as through solar panels or passive heating) to offset any energy consumed.


Berry Architecture + Associates

This project transformed the former Red Deer Bowladrom into a sustainable, LEED® Gold certified facility, housing Berry Architecture + Associates and Downey Roth Hrywkiw Fidek Chartered Accountants in an office space that features lighting, heating, and ventilation zones; open spaces with natural light; motion sensors for energy reduction; and a green roof featuring a patio, local plants, butterfly gardens, bee boxes, hummingbird nests, herb/vegetable gardens, solar panels, and water collection.



Broadway Tower

Broadway Tower is a 19-storey, 430,000 square foot, mixed use high-rise building in the heart of Portland, Oregon. The building is within walking distance of the city’s best restaurants, shops, museums, parks, and art galleries. The ground floor combines retail space, and world-class restaurant and bar facilities. A Radisson RED Hotel occupies the second through eighth floors and includes 186 hotel rooms. The ninth through nineteenth floors house office space.

Corl Street Elementary School was designed to meet the State College Area School District goal of providing collaborative education through the incorporation of technology, flexible learning areas, and sustainability. The new design modernized the facility and expanded the building to accommodate approximately 400 students. Abundant windows and daylight, a healthy ventilation system, and the inclusion of walking amd biking paths make Corl Street Elementary an ideal place to learn.


Radio Park Elementary School

Radio Park Elementary School was designed to meet the State College Area School District goal of providing collaborative education through the incorporation of technology, flexible learning areas, and sustainability. Classrooms are organized as educational “houses” that facilitate quick movement and allow for small-group instruction, faculty support, and storage. The design of the new building provides flexibility to accommodate any changes to its use over the next two decades.

In 2016, the Centre for Applied Technology (CAT) is the largest building on Northern Alberta Institute of Technology's (NAIT) Main Campus covering 51,600 square meters while hosting approximately 5,000 full-time students. CAT is more than 25% the total size of all NAIT's main Campus buildings combined and is 60% larger than NAIT’s second largest building, the HP Centre. The building has been fitted with the Reliable Controls MACH-System™, which has aided in the building’s LEED® Gold certification.

The area is rich in diversity but is geographically isolated by the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges. In 2012, three new LEED Gold schools were added to the Alamosa School District to allow for the closure of outdated facilities.



First Tech Federal Credit Union

First Tech Federal Credit Union is situated on 17 acres along Brookwood Parkway in Hillsboro’s Dawson Creek Park. This beautiful 156,000-squarefoot mass timber office building provides the ability for staff to congregate at a central location with space for future growth and development. Open offices are designed with special emphasis on equal access to natural light and views from every workstation. After thorough investigation, mass timber was selected as the structural system over concrete and steel for its financial advantages, availability, and biophilic quality. The building achieved LEED Gold certification, with an exemplary score in the regional materials category as all timber components were sourced and refined within 500 miles of the site.



Air Mobility Training Centre

One of the most complex facilities of its kind, the Air Mobility Training Centre (AMTC), located at 8 Wing at CFB Trenton, was built to house the equipment and personnel required to train pilots and maintenance crews for the new CC-320J Hercules aircraft purchased by the Canadian Forces. It will also provide support to Canadian troops serving in combat, as well as for peace keeping and humanitarian missions around the world.

Kamloops Centre for Water Quality

Officially opened in February 2005, the Kamloops Centre for Water Quality is the largest operating facility in North America to use Zenon membrane treatment.
