Our co-op program provides a great opportunity for students to get hands-on experience working for a great company in the technology & manufacturing fields. Inventory Clerk

Regional Sales Manager - China

Location: Shanghai, China

We are currently accepting resumes to fill a permanent, full-time RSM position for mainland China. The successful candidate will join our existing Technical Support and Administration team in China and report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Asia-Pacific. The successful candidate will be empowered to grow and manage a robust and productive customer-focused Authorized Dealer network with a goal to increase the company’s market share across the region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and a passion for providing unparalleled service to the customers. 

The selected applicant will work from their home office with regional business travel consuming approximately 30% of their time. The successful candidate must already reside in China. Please note that relocation is not offered with this position. Fluency in both Mandarin and English is mandatory. A qualified applicant will also possess a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the BAS industry. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain a dealer network, necessary to meet or exceed the agreed upon quarterly sales targets
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, technical and sales support to our Authorized Dealers
  • Jointly review budget to actual on a quarterly basis and provide sales goals for each dealer
  • Prepare and submit an annual business plan using company software
  • Facilitate and participate in product trade shows, training, and marketing activities
  • Consistently attend industry association meetings
  • Conduct regular visits to consulting engineers to ensure Reliable Controls becomes and remains a baseline specification for BAS products
  • Attend dealer and customer training courses as needed
  • Ensure that you and every dealer maintain a minimum Level 3 Certification in the company’s Technical Certification program
  • Actively feedback the market needs of the Authorized Dealer network and the region

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated verbal and written proficiency in both Mandarin and English
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in the BAS sector
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a BAS company in a sales role
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong business relationships
  • Outstanding ability to give sales presentations to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience with managing business units or teams is an asset
  • Strategic thinking and solution-focused mindset

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Front line tech support to incoming calls from our dealer network, mostly on the phone, and some by e-mail

• Test and verification of firmware and software within our QA department.

• To fully understand the Reliable Controls product line, including software and hardware products.  To use this knowledge to help people less educated on the products.

• Support internet connectivity setup issues, creation of WAN’s with routers and Reliable’s IP based products.

• To work with internal technical staff to identify potential product issues.

• Troubleshoot problems by replicating, visualizing and analyzing each problem.

• Document trouble tickets, and maintain a database of support issues.

• To understand the application of the software so that all elements of the application can be properly tested.

 

Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support capacity.

• A Diploma/Degree in Information and Computer Systems, networking or electronics.

• Outstanding communication and active listening skills.

• Strong software and computing background is necessary.

• Solid Understanding of IP networks and networking technologies.

• Ability to accurately log, track and manage support calls.

• Strong trouble shooting skills.

• Background in electronics, HVAC controls industry, IT or related trade would be a bonus.

Marketing Specialist

At this time, we are looking to fill a permanent, full-time Marketing Specialist role within our Sales and Marketing department. This position will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Our ideal candidate comes from the Building Automation industry and has plethora of experience with programming, commissioning and trouble-shooting Reliable Controls MACH-System hardware and software BAS products. This is a very unique role where technical knowledge blends well with creative aptitude for producing, reviewing and editing marketing written materials. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in editing and proof-reading newsletters, software manuals, training manuals, user guides, application engineering materials, video scripts, specifications and additional materials developed by others in the marketing department 
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product stakeholders 
  • Attend product design and development meetings and promote the end users’ perspective
  • Participate in product alpha and beta testing 
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for all key products and promote them to the sales staff
  • Attend trade expositions in North America and support the marketing needs of the sales staff 
  • Conduct public tours of the Reliable Controls headquarters and clearly communicate our corporate values to the public.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, controls & instrumentation engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with building automation commissioning, configuring, trouble-shooting, installing and programming BAS software and hardware products
  • Experience in a similar role of a marketing nature would be considered an asset
  • Prior experience with writing guides, manuals and technical specifications is highly desired
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced level of knowledge of the industry hardware and software
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with Adobe Suite would be an asset 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • High level of attention to details
  • Ability to engage and work closely with developers, technical writers, application engineers, training staff, and sales staff 
  • High level of professionalism and outstanding customer service skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking delivering presentations to various target audiences.
