We are currently accepting resumes to fill a Junior Accounting Assistant position within our Finance & Administration department. This role is a blend of bookkeeping, accounting and administrative functions, which is very well suited for someone who values diversity in their day-to-day activities. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance & Administration. Our ideal candidate is a very detail-oriented and quality-focused person with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance and Administration department
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records (expenses, statements, invoices, etc.) 
  • Enter and match invoices in the accounting system 
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies at month-end
  • Demonstrate high level of customer service while providing support to internal or external stakeholders
  • Processing Accounts Payable 
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties such as word processing, filing, faxing and photocopying. 

Job Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting field
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in bookkeeping or accounting capacity
  • Demonstrated competency in full MS Office suite and Excel specifically, databases and accounting software
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
