Edwards Lifesciences is a global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for heart disease, critical care, and surgical monitoring. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near the Singapore University of Technology and Design produces surgical and transcatheter tissue heart valves. The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Irvine, California, and it supplies products and technologies to clinicians in nearly 100 countries around the world.

Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer VACE upgraded the building automation system at the Edwards Lifesciences Singapore facility as part of a retrofit project.

Today the system controls mechanical equipment for precooled air-handling units and dehumidifiers in two production clean rooms, allowing facility managers to carefully monitor humidity. To complete the upgrade, VACE worked with the building’s existing controls system to integrate new controllers with older equipment, saving Edwards Lifesciences the cost and work involved in tearing out and replacing devices.

Facility managers at Edwards Lifesciences were pleased with the flexibility of the Reliable Controls system and the ability to update sequences of operation with ease.
