In March 2020 Indonesia turned its Kemayoran Athletes Village, built for the 2018 Asian Games and Para Games, into an emergency hospital to treat COVID-19 patients in Central Jakarta. Built on 10 hectares, Kemayoran Athletes Village originally provided housing for more than 20,000 athletes in 10 towers. Four of 10 towers in the village were converted into a medical center with a capacity of more than 7,000 people, including a coronavirus task force, medical staff, and up to 4,208 patients.
Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer PT Deltamas Solusindo installed a Reliable Controls system during the retrofit of these towers.
By integrating a MACH-ProView LCD with Router controller and extended input and output capabilities thanks to MACH-ProPoint expansion modules, PT Deltamas Solusindo provided facility managers with an easy way to access, control, and monitor room pressure, supply fans, and exhaust fans in seven isolation rooms. In these negative pressure rooms, lower air pressure allows outside air in, but any air that flows out must pass through a filter. The purpose of negative-pressure isolation rooms is to reroute infected air away from other patients and hospital staff, so they are particularly crucial to the care of patients with COVID-19.
More than 129,000 COVID-19 patients received treatment at the Kemayoran Athletes Village Emergency Hospital between March 23 and November 24, 2021, a number that increased throughout the pandemic. Reliable Controls and PT Deltamas Solusindo were pleased to contribute to this worthy project.
