Project Profile: Camden Prep High School

Camden Prep High School, part of the Camden Prep charter school group, is a free public high school committed to preparing students to succeed in college and beyond based on its core values of caring, respect, responsibility, courage, and justice. The campus features bright classrooms, science labs, a cafeteria, spacious performing arts rooms, a gym, and a turf field for outdoor activities.

Authorized Dealer Hawks & Company installed a Reliable Controls building automation system during construction of the new Camden Prep High School to provide indoor climate comfort and efficiency for students, faculty, and facility operators. A particular challenge of this project was an aggressive schedule during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hawks & Company seamlessly integrated MACH-Pro1, MACH-ProCom, MACH-ProSys, and MACH-ProZone controllers as well as SMART-Space Controller devices with the facility’s mechanical equipment, including a chiller, rooftop units, boilers, and energy recovery ventilators. With their extensive network routing abilities, built-in inputs and outputs, and small size, Reliable Controls MACH-Pro series devices are fully programmable BACnet Building Controllers that achieve an optimum balance between form and function. Throughout the facility, 90 SMART-Space Controller devices allow building occupants to take control of their personal environment at a glance.

Facility managers access the automation system using RC-WebView software, a time-saving browser-based building management solution that combines the power and accountability of enterprise tools with a simple interface. RC-WebView provides scalable visibility and system control at a glance.

With the installation and commissioning of the Reliable Controls system, Hawks & Company provided Camden Prep High School with a simple, flexible, sustainable building automation solution that will serve the facility for years to come.
