Project Profile: Link Shopping Centers

Link Real Estate Investment Trust is the largest real estate investment trust in Asia, with a portfolio of more than 180 properties—primarily shopping centers and parking garages in Hong Kong.

Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer System Mart replaced chillers at 18 Link shopping centers. The scope of work involved programming for control and monitoring of air- and water-cooled chillers at all sites. System information was sent to an installation of RC-Studio software at a central control and monitoring center.

System Mart installed MACH-ProSys controllers, expanded with MACH-ProPoint modules, as Modbus servers to communicate with a PC acting as the Modbus client. Taking advantage of the versatility of Reliable Controls devices, the MACH-ProSys controllers communicate using BACnet to RC-Studio.

System Mart believed the building automation system upgrade would save Link approximately USD$100,000 per year.
