5 things we learned at AHR Expo

AHR Expo is always a highlight of the year for the Reliable Controls team, an opportunity to connect, showcase our building automation solutions, and learn what matters most to our dealerspartners, and customers. This year was no exception.

After an exciting, energizing week, here are five things we learned at AHR Expo 2025.

1. Face-to-face interaction is more important than ever.

Even with all our digital communication tools, nothing compares to the power of in-person interactions. Conversations flow more naturally, ideas spark quickly, and relationships grow stronger when you meet face-to-face. AHR Expo reinforced that real-world connections are still the best way to do business, and we’re grateful for every conversation and shared moment.

2. Connections happen at scale.

Events like AHR Expo are a chance to make meaningful connections at scale. Instead of scattered emails or video calls, we engaged in hundreds of real conversations in just a few days. The energy was contagious—long days and late nights didn’t feel exhausting but motivating. It’s amazing how much we can accomplish when passionate people come together.

3. Simplicity wins.

One of the most common themes we heard? Keep it simple. Customers don’t want to wade through complex details; they want to know exactly what they need to do and when. Is everything working properly, or is it not? Providing value in the simplest way possible is key—and as a privately held company, we’re able to offer the kind of personalized service that makes this easy.

4. People do business with people.

Effective building automation pairs the right technology with the right people—customers care just as much about who they’re doing business with as they do about the products and solutions they use. AHR Expo reaffirmed that strong relationships and genuine connections drive success. When you know and trust the people behind a brand, everything else falls into place.

5. The industry is evolving—and becoming more diverse.

We were inspired to see more women and a more diverse crowd at the event. It felt natural and long overdue. The industry is evolving, with valued new voices and perspectives shaping building automation.

What’s next?

We left AHR Expo with renewed energy and a clearer understanding of what matters most to our customers. We’re excited to keep these conversations going and continue building solutions that simplify and support their goals.

If you stopped by our booth—thank you! If you missed us, let’s connect.
